Ken Sharpe: From Humble Beginnings to Property Mogul

Kenneth Raydon Sharpe is a name synonymous with ambition and transformation in Zimbabwe’s real estate and business sectors. Born in Harare on January 27, 1973, Sharpe’s early life was deeply shaped by his father’s ventures in gold mining. The family moved frequently, following his father’s business from a mine in Mazowe to another outside Bulawayo, where Ken attended Khumalo Junior School. The family’s journey continued to Shamva before his parents’ divorce, a life event that contributed to a childhood of constant change.

Sharpe attended junior and senior schools in both Zimbabwe and South Africa before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 18. Today, he is widely known as the chief executive officer of WestProp Holdings, a leading real estate firm in Zimbabwe and the first to be listed on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange.
